Privacy Policy

PARA PACEM is a non-profit, fan-made hobby project, built and run by one person: me. I collect the minimum I need to run the site, I don't run ads, and I never sell your data. This page explains in plain language what I store, who can see it, and where the game data comes from.

What I store

• Account data — your email address and, if you sign in with GitHub or Discord, the basic profile those services share with me (username, display name, avatar). Passwords are handled and hashed by the site's auth provider (Supabase); I never see them.
• Profile data — your @handle, callsign (display name), avatar, role, reputation and badges.
• Game data — the armies, battles, Crusade forces, campaigns and galaxy map activity you record.
• Patreon — only if you link it: your Patreon user id, your supporter tier and when you became a supporter. I never see payment details.
• Reports — data errors and content you report, with your account attached so moderators can follow up.

Who can see what

• Anyone, signed in or not: your profile card (handle, callsign, avatar, badges), the galaxy map, and the reports of battles fought over a planet on it. Profile pages are kept out of search engines.
• Your friends: your battle history and your armies, except the ones you mark private.
• Anyone with a link you share: an army you make a share link for, and a campaign you make a join link for. Turn a link off, or make a new one, and the old one stops working. Shared armies are kept out of search engines.
• The patron wall: patrons are named on it only if they choose to be, from their profile.

Cookies and browser storage

No advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. The cookies I set keep you signed in, remember the live game you're in, bring you back to a campaign join link after you sign in, remember which announcements you've dismissed, and protect the Patreon link step. Your browser also keeps a few display preferences, such as a dismissed colour key, that never leave your device.

Page speed and visits

Vercel counts page visits (Vercel Web Analytics) and records how fast pages load (Vercel Speed Insights), so I can see which pages are used and find the slow ones. Each record carries the page address, the site you came from, device type, browser, operating system and country. No cookies are set, and nothing identifies you: visits are told apart by a hash that is discarded every day.

Error reports

When something crashes, a report goes to Sentry so I can fix it, sent through the site's own domain. It carries the error, the page and the app version. I have switched off everything else: no user details, cookies, request headers, form contents or URL parameters.

What I don't do

• No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.
• No reading of anything from your GitHub, Discord or Patreon account beyond what is listed above.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (the database and authentication provider), the site is hosted on Vercel, which also counts visits and measures page speed, and error reports go to Sentry. All three act as processors on my behalf.

Where the game data comes from

This is not personal data, but you should know where it comes from. Datasheets, points and rules are imported from community-maintained and publicly available sources:

PARA PACEM is unofficial and not affiliated with or endorsed by Games Workshop. The data is maintained by volunteers and can be wrong or behind; your codex, the Munitorum Field Manual and the official app are the final word. If something is wrong, use “Report a data error” on the unit.

Your choices

From your profile you can change your callsign and avatar and choose whether you appear on the patron wall. In the army builder you can mark an army private or turn off its share link. If you want your account and its data deleted, or a copy of what I hold about you, contact me on the Discord server at ParaPacem and I'll sort it out.
